I heard about this but never looked into it very much and now I have been sent an email from a Republican shoving it in my face.

Why would they do such a thing?

2. yes
creating a false paradigm allows those in power to play us against ourselves, thereby distracting attention from their ultimate goals.

Divide and Conquer. Just ask that tool/fool Arne Duncan

Neither side apparently has a clue as to what they once stood for and now it's all about the $. Both sides now speak what they think will get them returned to their thrones and then do whatever is on the agenda for the day. It's sickening and disgusting, and now the chickens are coming home to roost on a bankrupted populace that turned their heads when things got complicated. Ripped off, humiliated and reduced to begging for jobs that these despicable people sold out, now lined up for a career at McDonalds or WalMart. Whereupon they can sell more junk food and junk stuff made in China to those that still have a few dollars left in their wallets.

If the American People do not demand election reform we deserve what we get. And that is the death of the Republic, which is almost complete.

The idea of America will be reborn one day somewhere and hopefully with more protections against treason.

7. Pissing contest with the governor, and the public option is way too expensive
Patrick has vowed to veto it. A lot of it has to do with how much Commonwealth Care is costing (and why I can't support a public option without a dedicated revenue source), and of course the annihilation of the tax base when housing prices plummeted.
