Democratic Underground is Looking for Writers

Here's what you need to know about writing for DU:

First things first: We can't pay you. (Sorry — we don't make enough money.)

Second: You, of course, can get credit for your writing. Or you can write anonymously. (This is Underground, after all.) If necessary, we'll edit your piece, and if we feel we've made significant changes we'll let you see it before we run it. Once we post it, we can run your piece for as long or as short as we like.

Third: We welcome submissions on a variety of topics, provided they promote the Democratic Party or the principles of the Democratic Party, promote left-wing policies generally, and/or simply make conservatives look foolish. (If you read our site, you will know what we are looking for.) Please do not send us articles that you did not write yourself.

Fourth: We will usually not notify you if your article has been rejected. Generally speaking we publish articles within one to three days of receiving them. If your article has not appeared on the home page a few days after you submitted it, we are unlikely to run it.
