WALNUT HILLS, OH ( FOX19) -
A driver was fatally shot after hitting a 4-year-old boy in Walnut Hills Friday, according to Cincinnati Police.
The child was crossing the 2300 block of Kenton Street around noon when he was struck by a silver car.
Three nearby pedestrians then confronted the driver and passenger, said Sergeant Eric Franz. At some point, an altercation broke out and shots were fired.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His passenger stayed at the scene, according to Franz.
Cincinnati: Child hit by car. Driver taken out of car and beat and shot.
