Totally Serious Freedom Caucus Launches 'FART' Group

This is an odd thing to do during an election year, but OK.

By Conover Kennard — April 19, 2024

House conservatives have organized a team to monitor potential ways to undermine their power in light of House Speaker MAGA Mike Johnson not bowing to the Chaos Crew's demand not to provide aid to Ukraine. So, the House Freedom Caucus has decided to take shifts to guard the House floor to prevent resolutions they'd consider stripping them from any power. The group smelling out any fellow Republicans (hi Mike!) who attempt this is called the Floor Action Response Team (FART).

Specifically, the group doesn't want to change the rule of needing only one member to call for a Motion to Vacate. The Chaos Crew appears happy with a revolving door for the House Speakership.

Supreme Court may seek 'middle position' in case that could toss some Trump charges: WaPo

By Matthew Chapman
Publioshed April 19, 2024 4:48 PM ET

The Supreme Court needs to decide if the January 6 defendants can be charged with obstruction — and they may ultimately pursue a "middle position" solution, The Washington Post editorial board wrote on Friday.

This comes after an oral argument in an appeal by a defendant this week in which many of the justices appeared hesitant about the government's position — and many observers slammed Justice Clarence Thomas for not recusing himself from the case because his wife was involved in the effort to overturn the 2020 election.

In the case in question, Fischer v. United States, the board noted, "The defendant, a former police officer named Joseph Fischer who participated in the riot at the U.S. Capitol, is challenging the Justice Department’s choice to charge him under a federal statute that makes it a crime to obstruct or impede an official proceeding — in this instance, Congress’s certification of Joe Biden’s 2020 victory — because the law was devised to punish evidence tampering, not his Jan. 6, 2021, conduct. The law also allows the government to seek up to a 20-year sentence."

Semantic ..............semantics..........Let me see if I get this straight............wasn't this jerk trying to tamper with votes.......so that he could obstruct with counting of votes and impede the federal process..........thats a middle position, really, I don't think so , ask the families of the police officers that died on Jan 6, 2021 .............really insurrection has no middle ground,,,,,,, being part of an insurection has no middle ground.....obstructing or impeding has no "middle ground" either you were there and did it or you tried to do............

Ouch: Whitmer Calmly Takes Welker To The Woodshed And Clobbers Her

She said what all of us are thinking.

By Conover Kennard — April 15, 2024

Democratic Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer calmly tore into NBC Meet The Press's Kristen Welker. We already know Donald Trump's stance on abortion. The Twice Impeached One has changed his mind numerous times when he realizes he's losing support. And Whitmer is precisely correct: "Only the woman" and doctor should decide whether she can get an abortion procedure or not. She also nailed Trump for installing conservative Justices to the Supreme Court. And, of course, they overturned Roe. Trump was very proud of that and preened around like a peacock, boasting that he killed Roe.

"Former President Trump held a rally last night," Welker said. "He did not mention the issue of abortion. But earlier this week, he noted that abortion laws are left up to the states. He said he wouldn't support a national ban. How concerned are you that his efforts to straddle the line could effectively weaken this issue for Democrats?"

Note: Trump said the Arizona Supreme Court had gone too far in reviving a near-total abortion ban, even while defending the Supreme Court decision that permitted states to restrict abortion. He flip-flops so much that he should be a contortionist. He's trying to have it both ways. He has also said that women should be punished for having an abortion.

JAMIE O, POLITICAL CRACK, SO CALLED LIBERAL MEDIA

A mind-boggling genre of political think piece that somehow has not been killed by Donald Trump and the American right is the “actually, it’s the left who are the real problem.”

The Very Serious and Sensible Centrist Minds of the Great American Discourse is seemingly obsessed with this. For example, in the summer of 2020 while the world was dealing with the worst pandemic in 100 years and thousands were dying, AND there was an all-too-brief reckoning about how Black Americans are treated in this country, these folks had signed the Harper’s Letter. The letter, you see, declared that THE REAL PROBLEM in America at that moment was not our fellow Americans dying horrible deaths while a Republican president dealt with it by being totally insane. Gosh, no, the real problem was cancel culture, because some people were mean to a children’s book author for being a transphobic shitbird on TwitterX.

One of the patron saints of the so-called fight against cancel culture was/is Bari Weiss, who declared herself cancelled by quitting her job because she was fussy there were editors and how dare they edit her. She then started a few other businesses, including a scam college so like-minded people can be free from those nasty people who try to make them feel bad about supporting the killing of Palestinian children, and her new online publication, The Free Press. This is what cancelled means, apparently.

Project 2025: Blueprint For A Christian Nationalist America

Project 2025 is a blueprint for a Christian Nationalist America in a second Trump Administration. The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, created a policy for an authoritarian version of America.

By RedStateRachel — April 15, 2024

Project 2025 is a blueprint for a Christian Nationalist America in a second Trump Administration. The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, created a policy for an authoritarian version of America. The Heritage Foundation partnered with over 100 extreme right-wing organizations to publish the over 800-page plan. The "Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise," positions itself as a presidential transition plan.

But the transition project shows the drastic changes President Donald Trump would put into place in 2025. The goal of the GOP policy is to enforce the religious beliefs of a small minority on all Americans. The new conservative administration program would give the White House dictator-like powers. Under his new presidency Trump says he'll use the FBI to punish his rivals like current President Joe Biden and Special Counsel Jack Smith.

Outrage after US hunter who reportedly took wolf in bar and killed it only fined

Ramon Antonio Vargas

A Wyoming hunter who reportedly ran over a gray wolf with a snowmobile, taped the creature’s mouth shut, took a picture with it inside a local bar and then shot it to death behind the tavern has ignited calls for stiffer penalties in such an egregious case of animal abuse.

Cody Roberts, 42, is at the center of the uproar after being ticketed and fined a couple of hundred dollars for illegally possessing the wolf while it was still alive – but so far going unpunished for the manner in which he is said to have killed the animal.

Meanwhile, Wyoming wildlife authorities have kept much of the case hidden under a veil of secrecy, arguing that records on wolves taken in the state are not matter of public record under laws there.

How did a radio repair man make an instrument so sublime that it makes giants of music weep with reverence? As the Fender Stratocaster turns 70, we explore its extraordinary life

‘I found the cheapest Strat in all the shops,” says Nile Rodgers, speaking to me from Miami Beach, the very place he went trawling for what would later be regarded as the world’s greatest electric guitar. “I traded in my Gibson Barney Kessel. The guy behind the counter gave me the Strat – and $300 back. It was the real runt of the litter.”

In a nod to the model played by his hero Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock in 1969, Rodgers stripped the guitar and painted it Olympic white. He then locked himself in his bathroom for three days – “woodshedding” he calls it – until he’d mastered “chucking”, a dazzling new technique that blended offbeat strumming with the muting of fretted notes. It’s a style made for the Strat’s rich percussive qualities and slick feel.

Armed with this new instrument, a 1960 model with a 1959 neck, Rodgers set about reinventing music. His unique sound became the gyrating backbone of disco – he knocked out hits for Diana Ross, Sister Sledge and his own band, Chic. Other acts soon came calling, from David Bowie to Grace Jones, Madonna, Duran Duran and Daft Punk. Rodgers’ Strat can be heard on records that have sold hundreds of millions of copies, earning the “runt of the litter” not one but two nicknames: the “hitmaker” and the “$2bn guitar”.

Tuberville: Ukraine Takes US$ And Buys 'Beach Houses All Over The World'

"These people can't buy any more houses than what they've bought. They've got beach houses all over the world," said Tuberville on Newsmax.

By Ed Scarce — April 10, 2024

Let's be frank here: Tommy Tuberville, allegedly a U.S. Senator from Alabama who lives in Florida, is a Russian asset. He's getting paid to repeat Russian propaganda by someone. Every word, every phrase has been prepared for him by Moscow. And as sure as the day is long, there's an offshore account somewhere that's being funnelled with cash in his name. How else to explain these 'Kremlin Cuckolds' behavior, with their verbatim repetition of Russian propaganda?

Every sentence he spoke yesterday, both in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing Tuesday on Ukraine and later on Newsmax, were complete lies. Total fabrications. Rather than go into each and every one I'll just mention a couple:

- The US did not "provoke" Russia into invading Ukraine because "we've been pushing since 2014 for Ukraine to be in NATO."

And this person is collecting taxpayer dollars and basically defrauding the taxpayers and is openly comitting treason.............this person should be under investigation............literally.........
