You think if the repubs had the chance to do it over, they would let the Democrats win Alabama?

We have basically abdicated a seat that was held by a strong incumbent in Franken. Maybe a blue wave will sweep it up, but the Democrats somehow must feel it's safe, and worth standing on their supposed principals to push out Al.

Her daughter and mine played on the same soccer team one year, and remained friendly acquaintances. She's a successful real estate agent in our area. She needed a new gig after the big crash of 2008, and ran for State Senate.
Her principal talent is self-promotion. That's what makes for a successful real estate agent, and it's a big part of what goes into success in politics. But it doesn't make a person a wise and able legislator. I think a US Senate bid amounts to stunning overreach on her part.
