(5,032 posts)It's a wonderful challenge and usually results in a good meal at the cost of two lost arrows and a lot of misses.
I also have cooked on a fireplace in the last month. Makes the cornbread better.

So, do you even have a garden or just an attitude about rural habits?

(5,032 posts)But it is nice to make myself work harder using the bow for the meat so I respect my meal and where it came from more. Plus the sound of guns is counter productive to enjoying the forest for others.
That said it has been years since I have hunted.
