On the suspect’s first night in jail, other prisoners serenaded him with a chant of “kid killer” — a reference to the fatal shooting of a 6-year-old girl.

“All the inmates were talking about killing him,” Wayne Medley, 24, said as he left the facility. “Everyone was looking for an opportunity. It’s all they could talk about.”

Inmate Dima Danilov, 22, said the suspect’s face was covered with a red towel when he arrived at the jail about two hours after 12 people were killed and 58 injured in the Aurora, Colo., multiplex.

The deranged suspected killer, a former honors student and Ph.D. candidate, said nothing and walked deliberately to his cell with six officers. He was offered a breakfast of grits and sausage, and a ham sandwich for lunch. If Holmes was sent into the general jail population, “he won’t live to see Monday’s court appearance,” Danilov said.

could he be starting the insanity defense? He now has a whole jail of inmates and guards who can testify he was acting like a rabid dog.

4. If you watch MSNBC starting on Friday nights you'd see that prisons are full of rabid dog stuff

I imagine the guards and inmates are quite used to it.

I have never wanted to know what happens in prison. Maybe I am hiding my head in the sand but that is just me, I have yet to watch the Green Mile and just saw Shawshank Redemption about 6 months ago and only then when a friend assured me I would like it.

Did you like Shawshank redemption? I think it's among the best movies made. And I'm no prison movie fan either. Just a fan of a good story, told well.

7. Yes, it was great and Morgan Freeman is one of my favorite actors.

There are some other movies I have never watched which many love, Rocky and the God Father movies just as a couple of examples.
