All it's really done is to make him a HUGE "get" for future talk shows - not only as featured guest but also maybe for a TV or cable talk show of his own. A platform, from which he could potentially consider a run for the White House. If nothing else, it would keep him on top, give him a voice with a whole new kind of podium and microphone, and elevate him to highly-paid speakers bureau roster, where he could command princely sums for making speeches. He stands to make a lot of money now. As a commodity for bookings and public appearances he's gonna be HOT and much in demand. And that's a good thing.

I agree. Now I feel we are on our own with no help from anyone!! That is exactly why they wanted him out of there. He was a good fighter. I hope and pray he rescinds his retirement. He would make a great President!!

Evil wins again. I'm losing all faith. I had some when President Obama and VP Biden were in charge; but this is so awful. I can't even turn on the television any more, except to watch Netflix, etc.

Just a few. "As Franken spoke, several Democratic colleagues sat listening. For most of the speech, there was only one Republican — Sen. Lamar Alexander (Tenn.) — in attendance."

He seems to have been caught in the crossfire. I hope he comes back to politics in some way eventually.

But I think Minnesota will remain in good hands when their lt. governor steps into his place.
