a long time ago I heard a recording of this song by Jim...he does a picking style where in various parts two strings are simultaneously plucked by the the right hand-it's pretty obvious-but in this one version during the verse about "The sidewalk band" being slightly out of tune, he actually somehow altered the finger picking to be slightly out of tune. It was so evocative of walking thru a Christmas mall and past memories it almost hurts to talk about....I heard it only once and searched for that version for years but I've never heard it again...
