Ah... there is no better way to teach people than by natural consequences. If a business hates gay people then gays and their friends go elsewhere.

(14,400 posts)at the number of people operating businesses that continue to do stupid shit like this. AFAIC you should keep politics and religion at home. Why turn away perfectly good customers?

(64,982 posts)Notice that there is a whole gallery of photos, and most are of rainbow cakes or of cakes with two grooms.
Well, good on them then.

I worked at a beer distributor for years and no political stuff was ever allowed. Nothing on bulletin boards and no bumper stickers. The owners were staunch Republicans.
This kid started working for us and was a jr. Right-winger. Rush Limbaugh was fairly new and he's be listening to that when he could get away with it. When I was in the warehouse I pulled rank and put on music.
One day I walk in and see an anti-Clinton flyer from Gun Owners of America on the bulletin board. I grabbed it and stashed it in my desk. Jr. Bagger Boy was at lunch. He came back and noticed his posting was gone and came in all pissed about it. I opened my desk drawer and gave it to him. I warned him about putting it up and he ignored me. I was just trying to save his ass. Sure enough the boss sees it, finds out who it was and chews his ass! The boss was also an NRA member who probably agreed wholeheartedly with that flyer. He still didn't want that stuff up because he knew he sold a hell of a lot of beer to Democrats.
Some people just can't even imagine that everyone they are around doesn't think the way they do. We've had similar things happen at the blood center I work at now.
