Smoked a trope of dope in the 70's.....less in the 80's (but that kinda tracked with the Grateful Dead -
the greatest R/R band of all time). Less in the oughts, life changes. Now: Holy Fuck , this Small Fingered Idiot is our President? What does Trump owe to the Russian Oligarchs? To the nearest 500BB dollars? How much of Trump does Putin own? Why don't we know this? Putin is in the White House? A totally corrupted pResident? Stay fucking tuned.

What is this “Medical Marijuana” you speak of? Why not just walk to the corner store and buy some regular marijuana? The regulated stores have some amazing stuff these days.

On an only slightly more serious note: I was 35 before I heard the phrase “last call” — because I grew up in Las Vegas. I was in NYC for a couple of days, coming back from my honeymoon, when the bartender said “last call!”

“Why do they shut the phones off at two in the morning? And how do they shut off the cell phones? This doesn’t make any sense!”

It was explained to me.

“NONE of this makes any sense! What are you talking about? Is this a joke? Why would anyone STOP selling alcohol? And I still don’t understand why we can’t use our phones anymore tonight...”

I love the Too Much Fun Club's handwringing..."OMG marijuana is Twenty Times Stronger than it was just five years ago! You can get high as a kite with one puff!" Now hang on for a second...since they've been telling us weed undergoes a 20-fold potency increase every five years for the last forty years, by now you shouldn't have to smoke the shit at all; you should be able to get totally wasted by just looking at a picture of a pot plant in a magazine. And more important, if one hit is enough to get you trashed, wouldn't that be a GOOD thing?

Yep, in the 70's you rolled joints - and you needed to. Weed was not that good. Now, just a hit or two off a pipe will do the job. Just different. Costs more, but more bang for the buck!

now. I stopped one day in 1974, after a few years of being a daily toker. I didn't have enough money to buy enough groceries, let alone a bag of seeds and stems with a little vegetative matter mixed in. So, I said, "Oh, well..."

Haven't smoked it since then.
