Suspect arrested in deadly online gaming prank

http://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2017/12/30/kansas-police-shooting-swatting-nd-kwch.cnn

It's a CNN video link. Andrew Finch was unarmed and had nothing to do with the gaming when he was publicly executed in his home by agents of the state. The poor guy had 3 kids. His mother and aunt are blaming both the gamer and the police for this unnecessary tragedy.

The arrested a 25 year old piece of shit in LA who called officers to a very wrong address in Wichita Kansas. There is audio of his 911 call. He doesn't know what's wrong with what he did.

1. I'm glad they found the suspect. In addition, the police officer who shot the innocent man

should also be charged. I get adrenaline and wanting to protect yourself, but I would hope officers would be trained to modulate their responses to the situation.

7. That's essentially the cop's defense

the police chief gave a statement saying the cop shot him because of a sudden movement towards his waist and the whole incident is on camera as evidence.

4. More info on Tyler Barriss, the piece of shit who made the call

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/unarmed-kan-man-killed-cops-victim-swatting-prank-article-1.3726171

Police on Friday said they had arrested 25-year-old Tyler Barriss, the gamer suspected to be behind the deadly hoax, known as "swatting" a potentially catastrophic prank in which a person makes a fake police report to trigger a massive emergency response.

The victim, identified as Andrew Finch, was gunned down on Thursday night after cops received a disturbing 911 call from a man who claimed he had shot his father and was holding his mother and younger brother hostage.
"I shot him in the head and he's not breathing anymore," the caller said, according to a recording released by the Wichita Police Department.

The caller then added, "I might just pour gasoline all over the house, I might just set it on fire."

The caller gave cops Finch's address, mistakenly believing it belonged to a person he had feuded with over a $1 or $2 Call of Duty wager.

"Due to the actions of a prankster we have an innocent victim," Wichita deputy police chief Troy Livingston said during a press conference Friday night.

5. First Degree Murder charge for this moron.

Let him sit in prison for the rest of his life for causing the death of an strangers as a "prank."

Enough of this.

8. We all know the police defense

they have to treat every call as a credible threat with deadly force.

I have no doubt the courts will throw the book at the dumbass prank caller but unfortunately it looks like the cops will escape punishment.
