Another thing that drives me crazy

Is such widespread apathy or complacency among so many people. Both young and old. Lots of folks don't keep up or read the news or say "all politicians are crooked," etc. How can people not care about their own government and well being?

My hubby and I have gotten into "discussions" over this, as well as the fact that he did not vote for either Trump nor Hillary. (he was a Sanders supporter) I had tried to tell him over and over that no vote for Hillary was a vote FOR Trump, but he said he just couldn't bring himself to vote for Hillary. When I ask him why, he will say "I just don't trust her." To which I always reply "and you would trust Trump over Hillary?!?" he would then reiterate his dislike for Trump. It just goes in circles. The RWNJ's kind of got into his head a little, I think. Anyway, it's maddening! Look what we got now! A total mess!

I know a woman who can tell you all about the Kardashian's from their moment of birth, but can not name even 1 of her state's representatives.

He can’t make them understand the importance of choosing qualified political leaders.

last year, my hubs sold some stuff on line to a guy in another state, and they got to emailing back and forth, talking about the usual stuff guys talk about. Well, this guy started sending my hubs occasional viral emails that all slandered Hillary. You know those ones that talk about how 30 people died mysteriously who knew the Clintons, and shit like that. And I think some of it just got stuck in my Hubby's head, even though I told him that crap is all made-up on purpose to slander Hillary. I'd direct him to Politifact that such, but it didn't seem to do much good. Of course, even the MSM didn't help, the way they kept a lot of crap on Trump out of the news.

My brother, normally a republican, wouldn't vote for either, but we live in Massachusetts, so his vote didn't matter anyway.
