I’ll believe that corporations are people when they pay the same tax rates as people.

And no money in politics -- IF we have to have that decision remain.

Why aren't we filing lawsuits because Congress has set up a law that creates two different classes of "people?" Why are corporations allowed to keep their new tax breaks beyond 2025? But our share is just front-loaded?

That's a direct violation of the Fourteenth Amendment. Government isn't allowed to create different classes of people. It's a violation of Equal Protection.

Maybe they should rethink Citizens United.

Saying:
Money is not speech.
Corporations are not people.
The rights and privileges guaranteed by the constitution only protect living human beings.
Legal entities, such as corporations, exist, and are entitled to protections, only to the extent authorized by Congress.

in general. State law allows the creation of corporations.

A corporation is formed by registering it in a state.

One could easily add language such as "...or the states".

But my point is not to draft amendment-ready text, but that we should be pushing to ensure that the Constitution is viewed as protecting the humans citizens of the US and the world, and not legal entities.

Corporations are not people, not in any sense.

They don't face the pain of death.

They don't face physical pain at all.

They do not suffer or have emotional feelings or heart or even, most important, a soul.

They are not human.

Any Christian knows that.

So do atheists and theists and Muslims and Hindus and Pagans and anyone who believes in humanity.

The stupidest most corrupting decision in the history of the Supreme Court. Even the decisions that OK'd segregation and separate but equal don't quite measure up to the decision that corporations are human.

It's close, very, very close, but "corporations are human" takes the prize. Worst decision ever. The WORST!!!
