today... better than most I guess... still difficult to make it on $10.50 in this state... I started a small restaurant last winter and pay employees minimum wage + split tips... approx. $15 I have since given the business to my son and hope he fares well...

key word... of course town we live in has a population of approx. 2000 starting a business should be easier, it was much more complicated than I would have thought (payroll, by far, is the most costly part)

I retired past winter and put most of my money into it... then realized 2 things: 1.my dad was going quicker than I thought and I had to dedicate my time to him 2. I wasn't going to be able to work closely with my son (CIA trained and I chose him to be my cook) for a couple reasons but mostly I wanted to focus on healthy veggie meals but he was smarter than me and knows burgers sell

my dad passed and now I want to help my daughter start her own business... she is a licensed esthetician and she is very good

interesting backstory, handmade!f I got the "small" part but still..!

You're busy! My friend was/is an esthetician for many years.. so I know what they do. I'd never heard of one until I met her in my building where I use to live recently, in another town.

Good Luck to both your kids' work.

I once got a nickel raise. It was a mandated raise, but it was insulting, just the same.

You just had to put that in there, didn't you? Just give the knife a little twist.
