I am just citing terms that jump out at me. Being a slow typist, I often miss stuff, but here ya go:
"Reckless and callous disregard for the children."
"Powerful people let the children down."
"Egregious behavior"
"Leadership failure over a long period of time"
Punishment:
Fine of $60M (equal to one year football revenues)
No post season for 4 years
Scholarships reduced for 4 years
Players may transfer without penalty
Scholarships stand
Vacate all wins from 1998 to 2011
5 years probation
Possible formal charges against individuals
Ongoing monitoring for compliance. NCAA to appoint the monitor.

(9,350 posts)These were the right penalties, especially the $60 million fine. They punish the school, but not the students who could not have prevented thing from happening.
