(21,925 posts)It's an all-electric two passenger vehicle that has the qualities of a motorbike (quick acceleration, great cornering ability, ability to weave through heavy traffic, small power demand) and a car (carbon fiber unibody shell, accelerator and brake pedals, comfortable seat, dashboard, steering wheel, and reverse gear). The C-1 by Lit Motors can do 0 to 60 in 6 seconds, with a top speed of 120 mph. It can travel up to 200 miles on a battery charge. The most revolutionary thing about it is that this two-wheel vehicle stands upright even when it's stopped at a red light thanks to a powerful gyro system. It's almost impossible to knock it over, even upon collision with another vehicle. It's cramped, however, as the rear passenger must stretch their legs forward around the driver's seat. It's due to go on sale in late 2013 at the price of $16,000.
