I started reading Days of Destruction Days of Revolt

by Chris Hedges and Joe Sacco, and I'm starting to understand some of the utter feelings of contempt I have for people that puff up their chests and bellow their "Patriotism" to the world. America is NOT and exceptional country, and this notion of "American Exceptionalism" is a fucking joke. What an amazing thinker, and author for our time is Chris Hedges.

Haven't started reading it yet. It's gonna make me feel worse, probably.

Did you see Hedges with Bill Moyers this week? I just caught part of the interview.

I really admire Hedges. I'm looking forward to going home and diving back into the book.
