4. He never claimed to have any special sources

All he does is analyze publically available information. I think he is correct that Sater is cooperating, but it's not so clear that Sater is as important to the campaign as Abramson claims. We are aware of multiple levels of contact between Trump and Russia including through Sater, but we don't which of those connections are critical to the case Mueller is building.

5. Abramson's actually been pretty good and thorough.

He's not throw stuff on the wall speculative like others (Mensch, Claude Taylor, "Tea Pain" ). He's pretty careful to document where he gets his stuff.

I know it's easy to lump him in with the regular Twitter rumor mill but he's actually done a good job at distinguishing himself from them.

My only complaint is that Twitter is the wrong forum for his material. I hate mega-tweets out of principle.
