They knew a progressive world was on the horizon. They knew their lies and propaganda wouldn't be able to compete with the information age forever. But of course they thought they had a little time left to try and twist and bend the truth. Perpetuate people's fears. Indulge the uneducated. To feign their love for people they absolutely disdain...
Now it's starting to set in they pushed too far, too fast in their quest to tip the scales of society. The new day seems to be coming faster then ever. They can see a glow coming from across the mountains and they are scared of what monsters that light is going to reveal. They knew this day would come. Every trend, fact, and percentage warned of this day but why is the light growing so fast now?
They think that's the new day coming. Probably time for a few more raids down into the vaults and to take their winnings and head for the sunset...

That my friends is the Progressive Phoenix raising from the ashes of everything they have burned in their path to power. It's coming and its revenge will be beautiful. There will be no place to hide when she raises above them. Basking her light down into the darkest crevices she will find them all. Their money powerless to stop her.
Now will be the time for desperation. When all you have is greed and ego it seems true friends are a little hard to come by. Every person for themselves will be the battlecry of the rich as she peeks over their gated communities. Listen to her laughter as they start eating their own. Sacrificing anyone in their way. Anything for self preservation.
They knew... they just weren't expecting this. Now she is coming to cleanse and purge before a spectacular sunrise. May the new day be long and bountiful for all. And let's hope love and understanding will be the new order of the day.
