9/11 vs Aurora Colorado

After 9/11 they changed the way we fly, what we can carry on a plane,
they suspended many of our Constitution rights with the patriot act and
domestic surveillance (wire taps), a wholesale realignment of the federal
government was done with the Department of Homeland Security, several
products are no longer available on the open market (such as urea), and
they started 2 wars but after one more horrific gun massacre many of the
same people say we just can't do anything or make any changes because
of the people's 2nd amendment rights.

This shit is getting old ..... far more people die from domestic gun violence
then from some al Qaeda or terrorist act.

BTW I own two pump 20 gauge, a .22 rifle, and I hunt too.

proper background checks are done, and red flags are raised by anyone purchasing volumes of ammo & gear like the shooter did while he planned for at least a month.

First of all, if Homeland Security were worth the money spent on them, one would think they would have had alerts in place on this man before he acted. Who the hell is being spied on? Obviously, priorities are askew.

I think people need to drop the fear of losing the right to bear arms, it's guaranteed. We just need a smarter way of adding prevention and safety into the mix. It's like the banks, once they were deregulated all rule of law seems to have been trashed.

Either we learn from mistakes of the past, or we are bound to repeat them.
