On Reddit someone joked that Trump would take credit for airline safety

when a new article about airline safety came out.

A few hours later he did.

Asked how Trump had been "very strict" with commercial aviation, White House spokesman Raj Shah cited Trump's support for privatizing U.S. air traffic control operations and "enhanced security" measures by the Department of Homeland Security.

From he took office, the only US airline that crashed was American in Jamaica (Dec 2009) when it overran the runway, No one died.

December 200 was a long time ago. I like Obama a heck of a lot more than Trump but was he really in charge back then? I think I want to see his long-form birth certificate.
