Remember when Trump invited Mitt Romney to dinner to discuss SoS position?

Romney was totally embarrassed by the photos from that dinner. It was made to appear that he was groveling and then, Trump denied him the job.

I'm sure he has not forgotten that.

Well, I think Romney would have accepted SoS, but Trump wasn't going to offer it without getting the apology he craved from Mitt.

Instead, Mitt just looks stupid and weak for even trying. Because he was.

Could be all theater, Romney called him a fraud yet there they were practically holding hands. These are rich powerful people they don't live by the rules regular people have to follow.

He was being set up to be embarrassed, and he obligingly walked into the trap.

It might be time for Willard to just retire and spend time with his grandchildren.
