Go on writing about what "he" does, just don't use "his" name.
Every time we refer to the guy by "his" name, we boost "his" "brand".
From now on, let's simply never let it be posted here...and on "Late Breaking News" stories, amend the headline policy to allow replacement of "his" name with "___".
In other contexts, we would then agree to refer to "him" by any phrase OTHER than his name or a play on "his" name-we'd call him "Shitgibbon", "Shitler", "Hair Fuhrer" and any other term of any DU'ers choice.
Erasing "his" name(and occasionally replacing the "his" with nonbinary pronouns, if people wish to do so) would annoy and frustrate the "man" endlessly and subvert his entire political/business plan.

(101,267 posts)What this would do is stop internet searches giving DU as a result. I think if there's any business plan that would be subverted by this, it's DU's.
No, we don't boost his brand when we point out that Trump is the worst president ever, or point out that Trump lies constantly, and Trump hates Americans.

(50,254 posts)All of what you talk about in your second paragraph can be done without using his name is all.
It serves no purpose to assist his "brand". He wins every time his name is mentioned.

(101,267 posts)they need to get results saying "Trump cut the taxes of the rich and screwed the 99%". They need results for "Trump is illegally making money from his Washington hotel from foreign lobbyists".
If you don't connect the crime to the name, people won't find what you're saying. DU would just be a bubble of the already anti-Trump, who don't need any more persuading that Trump must be resisted. It would just be a feel-good measure for ourselves. If you also ran a big publicity campaign saying "we'll never use his name", maybe you'd get people looking for a day to find out what that looks like, but it wouldn't help campaigning against Trump; we'd be dismissed as a bunch of weirdos.
If you heard 8 years ago a website had vowed to never use Obama's name, would you take them seriously?

(50,254 posts)And I'm pretty sure this takes off and if there started being fewer mentions of "his" name online...maybe if we got MSNBC and CNN to eventually adopt the idea, and the "Failing New York Times", replacing it with a blank space, that he would realize it pretty quickly.
People could Photoshop pictures of his rallies and erase his name from the campaign signs, replacing it with quotation marks.
Post pictures of his building as the " redacted) Towers".

(70,645 posts)All the websites, including DU, seem to find it necessary to post his DANGED FACE with every article mentioning him. One time I counted THIRTEEN pics of his DANGED FACE on the first page of Politico.
