(328 posts)At least it is not so worrying to have him think he is on a prophetic mission as a senator as it might have been if he had made it to the presidency. And to have a least one elected Republican trying to preserve the Constitution would be a good thing.

or Idaho, Nevada and parts of Wyoming? In UT and ID, the state governments are owned and operated by the LDS. You can hardly get a job or start a business in Idaho if you're not a member.

(739 posts)If Pence goes first, then the VP will be appointed. Then if Trump goes, he is president. And since he was previously accepted as a GOP presidential candidate, the GOP might be hoping for less fuss about sneaking him in that way than some other Senators.
