An excerpt from Michael Wolff’s upcoming book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” published by New York Magazine on Wednesday claimed that former Fox News head Roger Ailes suggested to Trump the day after the 2016 election that he choose Boehner as his chief of staff.

“You need a son of a bitch as your chief of staff,” Ailes reportedly told Trump. “And you need a son of a bitch who knows Washington. You’ll want to be your own son of a bitch, but you don’t know Washington.”

When Ailes suggested Boehner, Trump reportedly asked: "Who's that?"
