President Trump called former acting Attorney General Sally Yates "a c---" before firing her, according to an explosive new book about the Trump administration.

An excerpt of Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury” obtained by MSNBC contained the anecdote.

“Trump conceived an early, obsessive antipathy for Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates,” the book reads. “She was, he steamed, ‘such a c---.’”

One of Trump’s first actions as president was firing Yates after she refused to have the Justice Department uphold his initial travel ban that blocked people from seven majority-Muslim countries.

Yates has since been an outspoken critic of Trump, condemning his attacks on the FBI and Justice Department. She tweeted Tuesday that Trump calling Justice Department officials “deep state” and suggesting they look into his political opponents is “beyond abnormal” and “dangerous.”.................

Former acting Attorney General Sally Yates on Tuesday ripped President Trump for calling on the Justice Department to take action against a Hillary Clinton adviser and former FBI Director James Comey.

Yates linked Trump’s comments to The New York Times last week that he believes he has “the absolute right to do what I want with the Justice Department” with a tweet earlier Tuesday calling for the department to act against Comey, Clinton aide Huma Abedin and others.

“Today he slanders career DOJ professionals as ‘deep state,’ calls for prison for a political opponent, and tries to sic DOJ on a potential witness against him. Beyond abnormal; dangerous,” Yates tweeted.

Trump fired Yates from her post as acting attorney general in January, just hours after she refused to implement his executive order blocking people from some Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.

Yates has been an outspoken critic of Trump since then, criticizing him most recently for using the Justice Department “to go after his enemies and protect his friends.”......................................
