(48,957 posts)One bookstore that opened at midnight sold out in 15 minutes.
It's sold out at B&N and Walmart and Target as well as Amazon.
Don't be surprised if high-priced copies show up on eBay soon.

Wait for Trump's next tweet: "No one wants to read wimpy Wolff's loser book. It's in the bargain bin at The Dollar Store. SAD!"

(29,322 posts)There is a lot of really good stuff in there. Stuff people need to know.

(128,718 posts)Fire and Fury had the reporter ACTUALLY IN THE ROOM with all of these looney characters. There are many indepth reports of all the twisted Drumpf connections out there already, so Collusion joined a crowded field.

(29,322 posts)And detailed how several countries were aware of all this while the CIA and FBI were slow to respond. I'm reading it now and believe there is info here you can't really find anywhere else.
Like there is detailed info of Carter Paige meeting with a Russian spy.

(128,718 posts)I know on Amazon there are already 2 reviews shown for Fire and Fury (obviously people who bought the physical book at a book store after midnight too).
I expect that regarding the intelligence agency "response" (or lack thereof), I doubt anyone thought that any of what they knew could actually result in what eventually happened, so it has become the "lessons learned" moment of the century, being a "first" for this country (i.e., the conflagration of foreign propaganda/collusion and domestic voter suppression/election fraud actually enough to alter an election outcome, not just at the top of the ticket, but up and down the ballot... vs the previous stolen Shrub elections, which were domestically engineered).

(58,785 posts)increased this immediate demand? I know it made me think I wanted to order now.
That demand caused the publisher, Henry Holt and Co., to move publishing up 4 days, or as Winstars says, "Printing presses going 24/7." From Amazon, "This item will be released on January 5th at 9:00 A.M. Eastern."
Btw, in this digital age, I love the thought of printing presses going.

(4,112 posts)"Kindle App" into their main search bar. It will bring up all kinds of options for various devices. PC, Android, Iphone, etc. Just install the app, buy the book, and it will automatically download. They have thousands of free books, too. If you're a Prime member, you get all kinds of free or low cost goodies. I just bought a year's subscription to a mag that's usually about $4 on the newsstand, and I got it for $5 for the whole year.
Enjoy!!

(4,542 posts)It initially said my book would be delivered on Tuesday by 8 pm. Then, midday yesterday, it changed to say I would receive it by 11 pm today (Friday). But by evening, it had gone back to Tuesday, although there was a message saying they would be shipping ASAP as they received additional copies and would update accordingly. It still says Tuesday, though.
The Kindle copy says it won't be available until Tuesday (I wonder why mine does not say 1/5, like others here!), but I could get the Audible copy today. I would rather READ this than listen to it, but I am tempted to get the Audible. I pre-ordered the damn thing so I could read it hot off the presses with everyone else!
Argh...

(1,009 posts)at the amazon listing, it says 2-4 weeks.
My delivery estimate: "We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date. "
Amazon is weird like that. Sometimes two people can see completely different prices too.
I see a private seller is already listing at $49.
If I end up getting a second printing, I'm returning it, and getting it Kindle version.
