think that they may look like they have the scoop if the bottom falls out of some of the claims, it isn't helpful at all but not unexpected. They have to keep the controversy going both ways in order to keep both types of viewers, which means they have some silly notion that repubs watch CNN anyway.

Although I did not see Cooper's comments, I don't have a real problem with Cooper being somewhat skeptical of Wolff's book. After all, this guy has written some questionable books in the past.

On the other hand, there's probably crud on Trump that is far worse than anything in Wolff's book.
