I was pretty confident that we would survive this but I'm really wishing I had renewed my passport. I'm not feeling very hopeful about our republic surviving this.

Should have followed thru with my immediate reaction of fear when the electors chose death for democracy.
I had reduced all I owned by half, sought the safest most accessible places to leave the US for.
Family & belief in our Nation kept me here, & had I left, I would have had a safer place for my grandkids to grow up in. Now I really fear for the world they will live in, as they someday reach adulthood

The longer I wait with the hope of Mueller salvaging the pieces, my regret for not leaving grows.
