in Manhattan. Yes, Senators can raise objections, even without reasons, to nominating judges and attorneys from their states. Ask Franken how it worked for him.

But once she and others ganged on Franken, Grassley decided that he was not going to honor the Blue Slip and put the nomination ahead.

Of course, during the Obama administration Republicans waved their blue slips and no one challenged them
