(2,768 posts)That gift is the ability to tell them straight to their faces to absolutely go right head and f-themselves. They have turned themselves inside out making a complete farce out of every one of their "imaginary" positions, blatant hypocrisy and unyielding, and quite out in the open, march to steal everything from the dollars we earn down to the "inalienable rights" granted to us within the constitution they are always wrapping themselves in.
At this point Republican pols don't occupy a legit argument point on anything in this country and should always be told to go right ahead and f right the hell off when they start up with their nonsense.

(5,268 posts)"Hillary Clinton says Donald Trump is no stranger to pay-to-play politics.
The basis of a new ad is a three-year-old donation of $25,000 from Trumps foundation to help re-elect Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, a Republican.
"He sent Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi thousands from his foundation, just as she was considering an investigation into his sham university," says the digital ad, released Sept. 14. "She cashed the check, blocked the case, and he tried to cover up the donation."
Since the story has reemerged, Democrats of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee requested the Justice Department to look into whether Trump paid off Bondi, as have the Tampa Bay Times and Miami Herald editorial boards, plus other political groups.
The Donald J. Trump Foundation, classified as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, is prohibited from making donations to political candidates like all other nonprofits in that category. The news was interesting to Clinton, considering Trumps criticism of the Clinton Foundations actions while she was secretary of state."
The level of hypocrisy is indeed stunning

(19,193 posts)now only exists to do the bidding of the most corrupt, most illegal, of all "presidents" in American history, and to "protect" him as he goes along on his merry fascist way. The "Justice" Department is now a wholly owned subsidiary of TrumpCo. Every Republican in Congress is behind Trump's every move, and the F.B.I. itself is picking up speed in joining the coup d'état currently underway in our country.
I'm starting to feel that all is lost, and that this situation is a fait accompli. I don't know if it's possible to put this country back together again. I can't take this shit any longer, and I think the 2018 mid-terms will somehow be sabotaged in order to continue the deadly heading these fascist bastards have plotted for our once great country. The Canadian border is an hour's drive from me. It may be time for me to part ways with this insane country.

(33,643 posts)Fucked up, on so many levels ...
1) She was only SOS, NOT POTUS.
2) She's been out of office for 5 years now.
3) The Foundation, AND Hillary's financials are public record, and have been scrutinized ad nauseum (and no wrong-doing found) whereas Dotard refused to even release his taxes, let alone his financials in general ...
4) The Clinton Foundation is one of the world's most respected charities, with ratings (among non-partisan outfits that do nothing but rate charities) on par with the Red Cross.
5) The Clinton Foundation, among other things, helps pay for the education of girls and women in impoverished countries, and provides free or low-cost HIV medication to those in these same countries that could not otherwise afford it, and does ACTUAL GOOD in the lives of 10's of 1000's of people
6) Mar-A-Lago dues OTOH let rich fucks ... play golf at a gaudy, ritzy place. Lets not forget, TrumpCo DOUBLED the member fees (from $100,000 to 200,000 a year) at their club IMMEDIATELY ... when Trump won the pResidency. THAT'S not sketchy at all, especially when he's THERE ALL THE TIME schmoozing with 'the members'. PFFFFT.
7) So, Clinton Foundation, respected charity, doing real good in the world and no evidence thus far that the Clintons EVER MISUSED ONE DIME collected in the name of the Foundation ... is being investigated ... but NOT Mar-A-Lago, where there's literally nothing to even suggest that the emolumen ... errr ... DUES collected ... aren't going STRAIGHT INTO the pResidents pocket ... for the purpose of gaining Access and Influence on said pResident (Oh, well, I guess the rich people do get to play some golf ... they're not saving lives or anything, but playing golf ... IS important).
So, yeah ... Justice Department, why don't you investigate the Clinton charity (again) and just ignore the obvious conflicts that exist throughout Trumps entire Business Empire, where the money goes directly into his families fcuking accounts!
Cause THAT makes perfect sense, and is not at all hypocritical, and is not at all a Dictator-like usurping of this Nation's Law Enforcement apparatus, weaponizing it, to go after a political rival. And it doesn't set a bad precedent AT ALL.

(33,643 posts)judges they've appointed.
Trump (and the cult of knuckle-draggers that support him, and the GOP in general) are just trying to muddy the waters with 'Well, Hillary may've done something bad, so what Trump did wrong doesn't really matter cause we were your only two choices, and I WON!'
IOW, not like I ever expect any actual 'charges' against her, it's all just meant to infuriate all of US ... by creating an outrageous distraction.
Basically he knows he's dirty as FUCK, so he desperately wants to prove that 'crooked Hillary' is involved in WORSE shit, so that his dirt doesn't seem as bad by comparison.
I mean, he wants to hide how dirty he is, of course, but ... whether all that comes out or not, no harm in dragging down Hillary just in case.
