Since it appears that only celebrities can be POTUS now, who would you prefer?

I'm going to make a strong case for Marla Gibbs.

And as a dark horse, since it appears that they just have to be a TV star, I think Valerie from Josie and the Pussycats would make a dynamite POTUS. Someone needs to start drawing cels of her in a debate - she's mop the floor with Trump.

Is it really bad that I never heard of them?
Are they really popular?
I can look them up on google.

It started as a comic book series in the 60s about an all woman rock band. It was related to The Archie's. There was also Josie and The Pussycats in Space and it was very much modeled after Scooby Doo. I loved that cartoon

I am always asking my wife who people are lol. I haven't listened to current music in ages.. pretty much because I find it awful and horrible lol. As for movies, we don't get out much due our 2 year old and not much family around. I only watch a few TV shows regularly. I would rather rematch star trek, classic doctor who or other sci-fi shows on Netflix for the billionth time I am very much out of the modern loop. I expect in 20 years I will have no idea about references from today.

61. Yes, star trek discovery.
Mon Jan 8, 2018, 12:49 PM
Jan 2018

I only watched the first episode. I haven't bothered to sign up for CBS all access. They changed the look of the Klingons and it really bugged the hell out of me. The reviews have been mixed. Some say it's great and others say it isn't really very "star trek". I had that feeling about the first two Abrams movies. I liked them but they didn't feel star trek to me. The last one definitely was though in my opinion.

Still I will give discovery a shot. I have been waiting for a new star trek show for years. I just don't have much time with my practice and my daughter.

It's preposterous. They look nothing like the Klingons of the past 37 years. They are purple, gold or copper. They have no hair. They look reptilian to be honest. You can only watch discovery online either through the website or an app. Sucks.

As for me, I am a substance abuse therapist. I was an RN for years but I went in a different direction. I recieved my masters in clinical social work and now work with addicts and alcoholics like myself

While I have no problem with those who want to go back to a more traditional path to the WH--i.e., those who actually LEARN the craft of governance prior to running for the highest office, I do find it scurrilous and frankly ridiculous, to be conflating OPRAH with TRUMP--as many are doing here. With the exception of Tina Fey, I don't know their politics, and I know there are some non-Americans in there. But this is my preliminary list.

No one born before 1960.

No one from New York or the South (except maybe for VP).

Maybe the VP should be a government or political professional.
