Mitt Romney diagnosed with prostate cancer this past summer.

Came as a bulletin on my phone. Prognosis was good and he is being encouraged to run for the Senate.

15 year survival (all stages) approximately 96%

Like him or not, he shouldn't let that diagnosis stop him.

As an oncologist, you can scare people, take piles of money (and their sex lives), and claim a high "cure rate."

To many acquaintance's said the same. All never survived more than five years. Heart breaking to say the least.

Personally, If I am ever diagnosed with cancer, I'd eschew the radiation and poisons on offer. I think that kills more cancer patients than the cancer does.

Watched three In Laws go through living hell as a result of Radiation and Chemo. Growing up in a now documented Cancer Node . Your statement rings so true.

As men we virtually all die WITH prostate cancer, not from it. That is if we dont get ANY treatment. It is common in men.
