at least he will undisputedly be so after Hatch retires. They don't really recognize state boundaries in this situation, so Mittens can move to Utah and not be called a carpetbagger, or something like that.

It's probably the only state he can win a statewide election in, so he's seizing his opportunity. Even though he will vote pretty much like Hatch, at least he'll be a bit of a thorn in the side of Trump. And, hey, Alabama only comes along very infrequently, there's no way we're ever going to see a Democratic Senator from Utah in my lifetime, or probably yours, either.

So, it comes down to an obscure ass-kisser for the Senate from Utah, or a prominent burr-under-the-saddle for Trump, I'd be more amused at the latter (day saint)!
