Trump won't be allowed to be interviewed by Mueller.

He will lie. Everyone knows he will lie. He always lies.

First, he cannot remember what the truth actually is. Second, he habitually lies, even when there is no need to lie. Donald Trump is a pathological liar.

So, by hook or by crook he will be kept away from Mueller's questioning.

No matter how much he's prepped, it won't stop him. It would be the easiest perjury charge that Mueller ever brings.

He may want the interview even if his lawyers tell him he should avoid it. Trump probably thinks he knows more about the law than his lawyers do.

That does seem to be the key to his tiny heart, doesn't it? Get a couple of interns to roll out a red carpet, usher him through a (temporarily) redecorated lobby stuffed with gold tinsel and into a spare bare interview room...

e.g., murder. You can put him on the stand, knowing he will lie or you advise him to exercise his right remain silent and not defend himself on the stand. If you advise he go on the stand, he risks being called a liar and faces perjury as well as a conviction. If he doesn't take the stand, there may be a verdict of not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (not enough evidence to convict).

I can understand Trump's attorneys advising him not to personally testify in front of Mueller. First, Trump could inadvertently admit his guilt. Second, Trump will sue his attorneys for malpractice for allowing him to put himself such a precarious situation.

The man knows exactly when to keep his mouth shut. Trump’s lawyers will know exactly what topics will be covered, and likely have an infinitely better understanding of what evidence exists than we do. And he’ll be sitting next to those lawyers the whole time. I doubt there’s going to be an OJ moment for this.

I hope Mueller gets him, but I’m going to refrain from getting my hopes up.

lies repeatedly, and doesn't even seem to realize he got caught. He DOES NOT know when to keep his mouth shut. He sued an author for lying about his net worth, but he did not know his own net worth. Now, don't you think, if you are suing someone about your net worth, the ONE THING you would know going into the deposition, is your net worth?

As one of my teachers used to say, "He's not as dumb as he looks, he's dumber."

Even a roomful of lawyers would be able to stop trumpty from ending up behind bars.
