So, Trump is going to Davos...

Meeting with the planet's movers and shakers to explain his America First plans to a group that believes borders hinder business. These people lean toward the idea that borders hinder human communication and the rights to associate.

He will accorded the respect the office of President demands, but no one will have any serious discussions with him. A rising tide raises all boats that aren't on a lake.

There are problems with movements, migrations, and refugees worldwide, but the attitude in much of the world is to deal with them, not turn our backs.

Unless they are Salvadoran, I suppose. Or DACA.

Oooh! Golden Showers is on TeeVee now and just said he wants to review the libel laws!

He will brag about playing with the big boys, but deep down (depending on his declining cognitive abilities) he will know they see him as a fool and unworthy...President of the United States, but still a fool out of his league.

He wants to rub shoulders with the rich and important people of the world, who most likely have decided long ago that he's a boorish arriviste entitled to no special regard even if he managed to (sort of) get elected POTUS. The Davos attendees are internationalists who will have no time for a loud, crude, not-too-bright and probably senile America Firster. The theme of the conference is “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World." That's not very Trumpish.

They haven't released a list of this year's guests, but:

the all-female list of this year’s co-chairs include: International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde, IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Sharan Burrow, general secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) in Belgium; Fabiola Gianotti, director general of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva; Isabelle Kocher, CEO of ENGIE Group; and Chetna Sinha, founder and president of Mann Deshi Mahila Bank and Mann Deshi Foundation in India.
