Eleven words. simple, to the point, gets the message across. and..is totally true. Those eleven words, could change history. This is the best way to express anger with Trump. This should be our slogan for 2018.......

pass it on to everyone. Even those who would never vote at all.

2. I'd rather give people something positive to vote FOR

... not just something terrible to vote AGAINST.

My preference is a three-plank platform:

1. Pledge to remove marijuana from the federal narcotic list making it legal for states to legalize/decriminalize.

2. Pledge to find a equitable solution to the student loan crisis.

3. Pledge to work with reasonable Republicans to amend and fix the ACA.

This would mobilize young people and get them to the polls with something to vote FOR.

4. I would disagree. 11 simple words. Yes, the positive can be discussed. Whenever...

But those eleven words need to get through. This is the simple, easy way to tell Trump you are angry.

2/3 of the country knows that Trump is awful. There is a gut feeling that he does not represent this country well. He is the worst person to represent this country to the world. Present the simple truth..

Our goal should not be to make this election about Trump; we have to focus what Democrats will do to improve the lives of voters that Republican incumbents will not.

5. While we want to improve the lives, we all know that..What we want is " to win..."

After we win, then we can do the positive thing. We all know we are going to do the correct thing for people...FDR.."Social Security"...LBJ... "Medicare" Barack Obama "Healthcare for All"

We know we will do the positive thing. But we must get through to everyone. Independents as well as those republicans that are uneasy and angry with Trump for whatever reasons. And remember this..2/3 of the country is indeed angry and upset with Trump and the Republican Party. Get to the truth. Hit them as hard as we can.

you have to campaign on the issues. Offer better alternatives. Better healthcare, better tax reform, better economic plans, etc.

The last 2 weeks of her campaign were 90% trump bashing. I remember she brought on Warren to go for the jugular. I was dismayed and waiting for her to talk about visions for the country.

"We're not as bad as the other guy" will never be a winning strategy.

I think a lot of the people here would benefit from reading other viewpoints on the issues.
Democratic Underground (and Free Republic) tend to be echo chambers where we are preaching to the choir.

They have a great section on Politics and you'll get a great variety of responses.
