This is the type of response I see around the internet from Trump supporters defending his "sh*thole" comment. Either they think he's just telling like it is or he's just being "savage lol".
It's like these people can't tell that this real life and not a reality show...
It's depressing.

(7,487 posts)He and they are completely ignorant of the role of developed countries creating the conditions that led to the current state of Third World countries. They mostly don't know and assuredly - like dump - don't want to know because it challenges their ignorant worldviews.

(123 posts)If anything that proves how important it is that people learn some history so they understand thhings like that. I admit I didn't know that about Haiti until this was brought up.

(41,203 posts)They may be melanin-challenged, but they're no Trumpsters. Their votes might push the USA into being much more progressive, with excellent healthcare and public services. I've been to Norway a few times, and was impressed!
American Psycho might note that the state most influenced by earlier Norwegian immigration, Minnesota, is the only state to have voted for the Democratic candidate in every presidential election since 1976.
Of course, I doubt that many Norwegians would want to move to the USA as long as American Psycho is there messing it up.
