"Your annual reminder that some senators who voted AGAINST making #MLKDay a national holiday...."

Your annual reminder that some senators who voted AGAINST making #MLKDay a national holiday are still in the Senate: John McCain (R-AZ), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Richard Shelby (R-AL).
Only McCain has apologized for his vote.

BTW, my sincere apologies for not including the text of tweets in the past. I know some on DU have trouble reading tweets for various reasons.

McCain gets a pass for apologizing. Hoping ALL of these racists lose in their next elections.
Tweets come from Twitter Sh'tter which is a problem in itself. Just remember that fakebook and Twitter Sh'tter are largely respondsible for aiding and abetting the drumpf illegitimate presidency.

Voted down at least twice just as the rest of the country was putting MLK Day in place (early 90's)
The NFL players Associate got the league to agree that if a state didn't have MLK Day then no Super Bowl. Arizona suddenly passes MLK Day.
