Loss of broadcast TV signal - Edit "FAKE NEWS- Technical problem on my end- fixed it.

At about 7:30AM CST My local CBS affiliate went dark. I swept through the channels, NBC, ABC and one PBS channel are dead. These are broadcasted from Bryan/College Station and Waco, TX. The one PBS is coming and going. The only channel working well is a FOX (not FAUX Snooze) affiliate. I don't have Cable or Satellite these are all over the air signals. Strange. Has me worried after the stupidity in Hawaii.

1. A new channel line up due to making room for broadband

Caused by a change made sometime in the past year that went into effect now. Happening in Milwaukee as well. Rescan if you can. May be instructions how to do that in your local paper or on the net. do not think they have disappeared or gone dark.

3. Thanks for the info. I only watch PBS of those. I just

checked, and you saved me from the trauma of clicking to PBS and thinking the Kochs had bought Megyn Kelly on. (Her show's on right now on the station now assigned PBS's number.)

Tex, don't blame you a bit for your moment of anxiety. An attack would be on my list of "what happened" possibilities these days. How could it not?

7. It's cool now- Problem with a plug that powers the signal amplifier. DUH!

5. Not yet here- I lost power to my antenna amplifier.

Nothing touched it but it just lost ac.

I wouldn't depend on it for emergency broadcasting.

Get an am fm radio.

4. Try rescanning the channels.

Periodically this needs to be done. That many stations going away is odd though.

My saying around the house is, "It's always something." Maintenance on things is just constant.
