Certainly hope so - he's refreshingly candid and eloquent and has been popping up quite a bit lately. The station made a great choice with Martin Bashir, and Charles would add much to the lineup, too. Just sayin'.

(1 post)But the next step is filling in for the marquee hosts. I would speculate that Ezra Klein gets the next spot when that comes up. Rachel and Laurence were filling in for Keith before they got their gigs and the current weekend hosts Chris Hays and MHP filled in for Rachel. I like Charles, he's very informative, and the night where him and Laurence grilled the chair where Zimmerman's lawyer was supposed to be was one of the best pieces of television in a long time. expect to see him as a contributer for some time then some guest spots on last word, unless Martin Bashir is being groomed for that.

(9,298 posts)and Lawrence O'Donnel likes to bring newcomers along. He sets a pace that allows you to follow what he's saying. I think Ed Schultz and Lawrence do that well, too. While Rachel and Chris Hayes are definitely brilliant, my head starts feeling dizzy after awhile because they talk so fast and pour out so much info.
Let's hope - we need all the good people we can get not in the frame of Scarborough or Tweety. Although Tweety DOES have his moments. Especially when he rails against Bachmann.
