NotMyPresident @ironstowe Jan 15Reminder:
John Gotti was deemed as untouchable, and was nicknamed "The Teflon Don" because prosecutors was never able to hold him accountable..until one day.... You know who sent him to prison for the rest of Gotti´s life?
Robert S. Mueller III

(9,426 posts)himself as Gotti. Suave, impeccably dressed, handsome, powerful. Yeah, they have SO much in common. NOT. Soon, tRump will look like a bullfrog from the side view, his chins are hanging over his collar. Repulsive excuse for a human being. I wonder what he wants to be when (IF) he ever grows up?
Have you seen this deplorable despicable racist recently?

(3,827 posts)How many US presidents have been sent to prison?
I like the thought. But I doubt it will happen.

(85,986 posts)...there would be a threat of prison precipitating a decision by Trump .
I think he's dirty enough to be convicted , but I don't think he'd have the guts to stand trial. He'll be offered a plea which would include, as was with Spiro Agnew, an insistence that he resign.

(4,542 posts)This is the first "fake" president we've ever had, so he's not like the rest. On top of that, he delights in smashing norms, so who knows?
And once he's out of office, he's fair game. If Mueller can't or won't take him down, Eric Schneiderman might relish the job.

(3,827 posts)America ALWAYS protects its "kings" - Trump is no different.
The only real hope in a prosecution would be Eric Schneiderman. I just don't know if they would have a case strong enough to bring down the Trump empire. NY State has had multiple opportunities to squish the orange turd. What makes you think they have a case strong enough now? No one knows if Mueller and the NY AG are working together - I keep reading comments on here and all over the web about this. I haven't seen any proof that backs those claims though.

(4,542 posts)If not, you might want to try it. My opinion comes from things the man himself has said on Twitter (and no, I can't provide a link right now).

(23,204 posts)Any deal to make tRump resign would very likely have to include a pardon deal with Pence.
Best hope is, we re-take House, putting, say, Pelosi in the Speaker's chair, then take Pence down, then Lil Donny. That's my dream scenario.

(22,026 posts)They do not apply to state crimes. NY's Attorney General Eric Schneiderman already has files open regarding Trump's businesses. It appears that Robert Mueller has shared information with him, in essence, protecting the investigation. Trump will eventually regret that he entered public life once it reveals his shady (illegal?) financial activities.

(51,129 posts)The big difference in the United States is who we had as leaders in the past, that our political system hadn't been overthrown by the Russian Mob before or otherwise corrupted. Money has finally won out over principles and unless we can somehow stop it, the USA will be broken up and raided by mobsters just like the USSR was.

(3,827 posts)not one single US President.
I'm sure there will be a few from the Trump administration that could see prison time - But I seriously doubt a Trump will be one.
