Fox News held story before election on Trump relationship with adult film star: report
By Brandon Carter - 01/16/18 06:21 PM EST

Fox News did not publish a story the network had on an alleged sexual relationship between President Trump and adult-film actress Stephanie Clifford during the 2016 presidential election, according to a new report.

CNN reports that Fox News reporter Diana Falzone wrote a story a month before voters went to the polls in 2016 on the alleged relationship between Trump and Clifford, whose stage name is “Stormy Daniels."

People familiar with the story told CNN that Falzone had seen emails about a settlement between Trump and Clifford and had a statement from Clifford’s manager affirming that Clifford did engage in a sexual relationship with Trump.

But CNN reports that Fox News ultimately did not publish the story, with one person familiar with the story telling the network that Falzone "had the story and Fox killed it.”

Noah Kotch, Fox News’ digital editor-in-chief and vice president, told CNN in a statement that the network was “unable to verify all of the facts and publish a story."

... they gleefully claim about supposedly "liberal media." I'm shocked -- shocked! -- that the right-wing would engage in such hypocrisy!

Honestly it would not have mattered. Those that loved him for his one time ability to grab any pussy cuz he could would have loved it, others that loved him would have forgiven him cuz he wasn’t Hillary.

Both are described as a month before the election. Was the payoff arranged, and then Fox heard about and wrote the story but spiked it, or did someone from Fox take the story to the Trump campaign and say "heads up - you might want to pay her off"? And even if the payoff was first, did Fox talk to the campaign about spiking it before doing that?

If Stormy was knocking knees with Bill Clinton, Fox would have run it 24/7. There were be endless commentary on how this makes Hillary unfit for the presidency. The double standard is sickening.
