Has anyone here seen this

[link:http://www.investigaterussia.org|

I just found it today. It seems to have lots of info. I looked at the board members, the glossary of relevant terms, timelines, investigations, and more.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts about it. Perhaps it isnít new to you?

3. By the link...

.... It was kind of obvious what it was about. I checked it out and bookmarked it for later. One little click, and it didn't hurt one bit.

4. Did anyone tell you this is actually a Discussion Board?

It's a familiar concept here to share, discuss and elaborate a bit on an issue verses risking " click bait" traps..

Just saying.....

16. Haha

I don't even really know what clickbait is. I've been a member here since 2004, and I've never, ever had a problem with whatever that is. Do I know that this is a discussion board? Yep sure do. So, explain to me what clickbait is. Does it jump out and bite you? Does it blow your computer up? Is there a possibility ones feelings might get hurt if the link is not what you expect it to be? If that is what clickbait is, then I have experienced it, but never to the point where I get angry or cry about it.Like I said, one little click, and if it did not turn out to be what I thought it was, I simply move on and don't fret over it.

19. some click bait sites launch malware on your phone,so there is that

others like newsmax polls are part of right wing media sites and by clicking you increase their profile.

21. I only have a $79 Samsung Galaxy phone...

.... and a Levono 8 inch tablet. I think they are invulnerable to viruses and malware. Anyway, by the number of positive replies to the o p, it seems not many share in your trepidation in clicking a link from a fellow DUer. As far as going to a website and increasing some right-wingers traffic numbers, I'm always amused when someone says, " I went to so-and-so, and took one for the team." All the replies seem to indicate that people are grateful that this person went to so-and-so site and relayed what was going on so they wouldn't have to. Shouldn't they be reprimanding this person for increasing that right-wing websites traffic?
Anyway, to each his own I guess.

22. my response was not to the OP but your dismissive tone to

not encouraging click bait responses which is widely shared at DU and commonly referred to in similar contexts by Duers giving heads up to others that having visited the site that it was generating traffic with an alarming title but short on substance hence it is: clickbait

23. I've read your post three times...

.... and I'm still trying to make sense of it. I am not being dismissive of anything. What I am doing is assuming that everyone who belongs to Democratic Underground is an adult, capable of making rational decisions on their own without anyone holding their hands. Click the link or don't click the link. That's your decision just as it is mine and anyone else who chooses to do so, as the majority of respondents to this thread has shown.

8. Yes- It is an excellent site that compiles latest in Russia investigation news

Thanks for posting- I am adding link to my bookmarks for easy reference

"About Us
The Russian Active Measures campaign aimed at the United States has been exposed. Using hacking, Twitter armies, and fake news, the Kremlin engaged in an aggressive effort to subvert the American democratic process. Now, only months into his term of office, the President and his staff are facing multiple investigations in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and by a Special Counsel for the Department of Justice.

The Committee to Investigate Russia is a nonprofit, non-partisan resource provided to help Americans recognize and understand the gravity of Russiaís continuing attacks on our democracy. All relevant information is aggregated in one place to provide context and allow users to see the full picture of what Russia has done and will continue to do unless we start paying closer attention.

For generations, people have fought to protect democracy. Now it is our turn. "
