https://www.mediamatters.org/video/2018/01/18/Fox-host-claims-Democrats-are-potentially-racist-against-Trump-/219095Does racism come the other way? In other words, is this a political statement or are these people also, as they call the president a racist, are they potentially racist against him? Somebody has to address that issue because there's a fine line between a political statement and are they being racist against the president of the United States.

(44,998 posts)is no reason to really hate Trump.
Because he's a self-absorbed bigoted idiot is a wonderful reason.
Faux is trying (again) to play that "it's racist to be unfair to racists" whine.
Oh please.

(1,040 posts)I'm probably racist to some extent, but I work to not be every day. I try to make decisions that are inclusive to all. But I have little tolerance for Trump, who has had ample opportunity to be informed and has always chosen to divide.

(11,730 posts)Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
synonyms: racial discrimination, racialism, racial prejudice, xenophobia, chauvinism, bigotry, casteism
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
To my knowledge, no one that has criticized Trump has stated anything about White people being inferior, nor have they mentioned Trump being White at all, except to address Trump's White Supremacist language and attempted policies as a problem. Pointing out that someone is being racist, is not being racist. Saying that White people are not smart, that they are sneaky and untrustworthy, that they are lazy, etc... because they are White; that is racist.

(100,063 posts)So does that make me racist? Only if those assholes have the gall to call themselves a race, so that would be a yes.

(8,311 posts)Sure, it's very possible for people to be prejudiced against white people. And I bet those who are can give far more compelling examples of why they prejudge whites than white people who prejudge other races can.
But here's a great video on the difference, specifically regarding "white racism" and "black racism".
