1. half of this country are just mean and hate the idea of not being able to treat other people like shit. Trump was their guy.
2. The trade agreements that hurt wages were used in such a way by Trump that it convinced people to vote for him.

I think the business world knew that a Drumpf administration would be so morally bankrupt that they would never lift a finger to do anything that would inhibit profits. I know a guy at work that actually told me right after he got elected that he voted for Trump b/c he didnt know if he'd be a good Pres or not, but he thought he'd shake the system up even if he failed. He said if Hillary won it'd be same ol' same ol', thought we needed some "fresh air" if you will. Now he makes fun of Trump and says he doesnt know anything, but I dont think he regrets voting for him, even though he says he wont do it again.
