Help me out re: a name I see making the rounds on social media

Jordan Peterson.

He seems like a fairly conventional too-smug self-congratulator preaching to an enraptured audience about the cruel struggles of the oppressed the white man, but I'm almost entirely unfamiliar with him.

I frankly lack the chops to discuss him in real time, because I find that his proponents' rebuttals go right to the Gish gallop, and I get swamped.

What's his shtick?

I searched his name on Twitter and the first result was a tweet/article from the Guardian:
