Poll: More than half of Americans strongly disapprove of Trump

Poll: More than half of Americans strongly disapprove of Trump
by MARK MURRAY JAN 19 2018, 6:01 AM ET NBC News

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump ends his first year in office with 39 percent of Americans approving of his job performance, according to the latest national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll — the lowest mark in the poll’s history for any modern president ending his first year.

Fifty-seven percent disapprove of Trump’s job, including a majority of respondents — 51 percent — who now say they strongly disapprove, which is a record high for Trump in the survey. That’s compared with 26 percent of Americans who strongly approve of the president’s job.

2. This paragraph says a lot, and predicts a lot in my opinion..

That compared with 26 percent of Americans who strongly approve of the president's job

That sentence predicts the final number of supporters of Trump. That 1/4 will always support him. So, they are the strong die hard group. Yes, I think it will go down to that number. Maybe a little less. Perhaps 22 -24 percent at the lowest. Those are the right wing jerks. It won't get any lower. We have a lot of fascists. We always have had a lot of them.

Here is proof: Please look at that link to see how Nixon's support eroded because of Watergate. Up to the month when he resigned, he still had 24 percent support. That is where Trump is headed. Perhaps a little less. Trump is far more controversial than Nixon was. And Nixon had an appearance that he had it "together" Trump is the exact opposite. He projects the attitude that he is not all there. (in my opinion)

If that's now 26%, that's progress!

7. I have followed this a long time. I think that hard core will not get below 20 percent.

It is not a third, it is somewhere between a fifth and a quarter. Hard to know, the true hard core who will never leave Trump under any circumstances, I think could be 20 -22 percent. Why? There have always been that hardcore group of racist/haters/ in the U.S.A.

I also believe that the number of racists/haters has very gradually come down from say 1/3 in the early 1950s to say 1/5 now. And yes, that is an improvement. over time..................

Unfortunately, there is very little proof to support this. Other than the final count in favor of Nixon when he resigned in my earlier post. I think we are better now. If we are close to 80 percent ok people, we are improving. very slowly, but improving.

And that is indeed a good thing.

If democrats GOTV we will bury Shitler and his traitor party.

I think the House is almost a lock for the dems now but in my dreams we gain control of the Senate as well.

9. I think we will go out to vote. In very large numbers...Why?

Most of us are very angry with Trump and his goons. and angry with McConnell, Ryan, and the rest of them. Sure they can blame us, but we will come out to vote cause that anger motivates. Yes...if we GOTV we will bury them in ways they never even imagined.

10. The party in power historically does poorly in midterm elections, I understand

But that's with an average President that isn't selling out the USA to Russia, lying every other word, tweeting BS Fox lies 24/7 and saying KKK and Nazi killer groups have nice folks in them too!

I mean the list of deviant Trump behavior in one year in the white house is enormous!

The republicans have done NOTHING for the average American at all! Well they have done harm to us.

Trump has broken every promise he made to working class Americans and farmers too.

We are going to break the back of republican/Dump power this fall, that's why so many republicans are deciding to retire.

Rats abandoning the sinking USS Shitler!
