Rough month for mobsters everywhere!!

Yesterday:

Italian police arrested 33 suspects and seized assets worth millions of euros as part of operation “China Truck”, a police statement said on Thursday.

The operation is the culmination of a seven-year investigation into the Chinese mafia ring, which maintained affiliates as far as France, Spain and Germany. Another 21 people are still being investigated but have not yet been arrested.
The group used violence and intimidation against Chinese business owners to maintain a monopoly on transportation for the thousands of Chinese cheap fashion companies in Prato, Italy, reported The New York Times. It maintains its finances with side businesses in prostitution, gambling and the drug trade.
Prato, a Tuscan city north of Florence and one of the largest communities of Chinese immigrants in Europe, is home to around 4,500 Chinese companies that import textiles and other fashion components from China, assembling them cheaply and selling them across Europe.

Jan. 9:

——ROME -- Police in Italy and Germany seized 50 million euros, or about $60 million, in mafia assets Tuesday and arrested more than 160 people, accusing them of running a huge mob-controlled commercial and political empire involving everything from bread and wine sales to funeral services, migrant housing and garbage recycling. Prosecutors in southern Italy said the 'ndrangheta's Farao-Marincola clan had its hand in just about every commercial enterprise in the Calabrian town of Ciro and nearby areas, and that its grip extended throughout Italy and into Germany to launder its profits.

So, I am glad to see these foul people getting rolled up...in particular, of course, those Bonnano slime bags, and apparently this Mark Lambert guy may have some good stories to tell...you know, like Flynn was said to have last year, “stories to tell”...hmmmm

Mussolini allegedly wiped out the mob in Italy. Actually his faction just took it over, and took the gov over, and wiped out their competition. Like Jack Nicholson's Whitey Bolger character did to the competition, in Boston, in 'The Departed'.
